- I gave Winter a box of Rice Krispies as a gift, because she keeps saying she wants them whenever we go to HomePlus. She was so excited! It was cute and really fun :)
- Every day I am more and more thankful for Winter. She is a lot like me and can also see me for my good and bad points. This makes her a great co-teacher and a great friend and I am SO SO lucky to have gotten her as my co-teacher :)
- I met Ashley and Abby downtown for dinner. It was really nice because I feel like I haven’t seen them in a while – and I missed them! I can’t wait for our weekend in Seoul together! Plus, we got ice cream after dinner. Duh.
- After dinner, we went to the Heart of Music service. This is a simple music service/get-together for people in the Pohang International Church and community. There aren’t very many people that come, but it’s really fun and chill and I like going. The café that it is in is also really cool. And tonight, the café owner invited us all to her wedding next week! I’m so excited and totally going to go. Also, I got to talk with Nida about a whole bunch of different things. I love all the new friends I’ve made/am making here :)
I'm not unemployed anymore - I actually have a very fabulous job as a preschool teacher with the University of Michigan child care centers. But I'm still posting, albeit a little more irregularly, and I don't want to ignore the personal progress I've made since starting this blog by renaming it.
Blog inspiration: I read 48 States in 48 Days by Paul Jury in the summer of 2011. It was fabulous...although he planned way less for his roadtrip than I would have. And at the same time, my lovely Anna was constantly reminding me that our lives were awesome, despite the fact that we didn't have job prospects, new cars, boyfriends/husbands, houses, etc., like so many people we knew. So, in an effort to appreciate my life and the crazy uncertainty that it is, I started writing this blog about the little adventures I have. (And by "writing a blog," I mean "making a list" because I make lists, not narratives.) Even if there isn't a BIG adventure that happens every day, I try to find at least one thing to list :)
